Irish Stew in a Crock Recipe
I made this for the first time on St. Patrick's Day 2007 ......... I'll make it again next St Patrick's Day - or sooner!

Heat butter & oil in a heavy skillet; brown beef cubes & transfer to crockpot.
Add liquids & seasonings.
Cut veggies into chunks and add to the crockpot.
Cover & cook on low for 9 hours; thicken sauce with cornstarch, if necessary.
